This kit is a terrific value, with plenty of each of seven different tannins to experiment with. I used each tannin with over 20 dyes on wool, and the range of shades is truly breathtaking! What a palette I now have to work with! But the biggest surprise was how vibrant the colors were on cotton fabric! I've shied away from dyeing cotton yarn because I've been disappointed with results in the past, but using tannins prior to dyeing really made the colors pop.
