Price per meter. This basketweave matka silk is one of the most beautiful fabrics I know. Matka is handwoven from thick yarns spun out of broken waste or leftover fibers from a hatched Bombyx Mori cocoon. The weave is made with two-ply threads over two weft threads, creating a very textured fabric that is still free-flowing. These fabrics take up dye with high saturation. 
 
Basketweave matka silk is perfect for clothing, as it is light, but not see-through and relatively wrinkle-free.
