2022 Masterclass Lautrec (French below) 4 days!
3, 4, 5, 6 July 2022 (four days)
in the professional dye studio of 'La Ferme au Village', managed by Francoise Carayol. In the fully equiped studio below are several huge indigo and woad vats for traditional dyeing of textiles as has been done in the region for hundreds of years.
We will work in the studio as well as in the garden with a view of the Pyrenees.
Hours are 9-16 daily with a one hour lunch break.
The course will be held in English and French.
What will we learn?
Proper mordanting of textiles
Natural dyes Foundations.
Eco printing on dyed textiles with different mordants.
Eco printing with natural dyes.
The focus will be on understanding the processes fully and creating large samples that will function as a reference for working independently. My goal is for you to be able to repeat your success!
Payment:
This is a downpayment for registration to the 2022 masterclass taking place in beautiful Lautrec. France. The rest of the course fee is due upon arrival; $275 or 250 euro (paypal/creditcard/cash available).

How to get there:
Lautrec is a pittoresque village located in the region of Tarn, in the south of France. The nearest large airport is Toulouse. The nearest train station is Castres. You should make sure to arrive the day before, as it is impossible to schedule possible pick up from Castres on the same day.
If you plan on sightseeing (highly recommended), it is advisable to rent a car to get around.
Sleeping Arrangements:
Lautrec has many possibilities for sleeping. If you do not come with your own transportation you should stay in the village itself. dans l'atelier de teinture professionnel de 'La Ferme au Village', dirigé par Françoise et Carayol. Dans le studio entièrement équipé ci-dessous se trouvent plusieurs énormes cuves d'indigo et de pastel pour la teinture traditionnelle des textiles, comme cela a été fait dans la région pendant des centaines d'années.
Nous travaillerons en studio ainsi que dans le jardin avec vue sur les Pyrénées.
Les heures sont 9-16 tous les jours avec une pause déjeuner d'une heure.
Le cours se déroulera en anglais et en français.

Teintures naturelles; fondations de colorants naturels.
Impression écologique sur textiles teints avec différents mordants.
Impression écologique avec des teintures et des couvertures mordantes.
L'accent sera mis sur la compréhension complète des processus et la création de grands échantillons qui serviront de référence pour travailler en indépendance. Mon objectif est que vous puissiez répéter votre succès!
Paiement:
Il s'agit d'un acompte pour l'inscription à la masterclass 2022 qui se déroule dans la belle Lautrec. France.
Le prix total comprend les frais de studio, tous les matériaux (laine, soie, mordants, teintures) et le déjeuner (trois plats).
La deuxième moitié des frais de cours est due à l'arrivée; 275 $ ou 250 euros (paypal / carte de crédit / cash disponibles).
