Original henna powder made from finely ground leaves. Originates from the Middle East. Use for dyeing yellows, oranges and browns or use as the component to reduce an indigo vat. The longer the dye material cooks, the more brown the results will be. Adding acidity to the dye bath will shift the color to orange.

Textiles can be mordanted previously for better results and deeper colour, but henna will dye without the use of mordants as well.
