Agar, or agar-agar, is a jelly-like substance consisting of polysaccharides obtained from red algae. It is a thickener you can use for print pastes, to make paint and more. Use with dye extracts, mordants or citric acid.
 
How to use agar agar. 
 
Use 2 tsp of agar flakes to a cup of liquid. Bring it to a boil over medium heat and then simmer until it is thickened, approximately five minutes. Ideal for use with dye extracts that you add at the end of the boiling process.
